I’d never heard of this book until Amanda Nelson at Book Riot described it as a YA fantasy with a story that was “the opposite of Harry Potter”. That was enough of a hook for me. I’ve read 5 pages and I’m eagerly anticipating my lunch break so I can dig deeper. It’s the first in a series, so if I love it there are plenty more books in the world to explore.
