My name is Jessica: I talk fast, I love to travel, and I’d probably rather be reading my current book than doing almost anything else. I’m a Harry Potter-loving, bibliophile 20-something living in Colorado with my splendid husband, tiny baby, amazing dog, and overflowing bookshelves.
This blog consists of book reviews, book lists, recommendations, struggles over which edition to buy, laments about my lack of shelf space, and the occasional life update. I love general, contemporary fiction and classics, but also enjoy fantasy, general Christian living and academic Christian books, historical fiction, nonfiction sociology/psychology, memoirs, history, and the occasional bit of chick lit or YA.
I work for the Christian division of a big five publisher. This blog isn’t in any way, shape, or form part of my job. However, the parent company is huge. I’ll often read titles affiliated in some way with the publisher because they release a lot of books I want to read. I’ll mark books I’ve received for free through work (♦) and will be upfront if it’s a book I’ve personally worked on.
