Graduation season is upon us! Whether it’s from high school, college, or graduate school, I’ve got some great bookish gifts for the class of 2015.
In which Harry is begrudgingly included in Dudley’s birthday visit to the zoo and is sadly really happy about eating a lemon pop. He spoils a good thing by talking to a snake and somehow sets it free from its exhibit. Also, the Dursleys continue to be the worst.
Happy Mother’s Day! Last week, I sat down to write a quick post about amazing literary moms. A few delightful moms came up (thanks, Twitter and Facebook friends) but in looking at my bookshelves, I became more fascinated by the character patterns that appeared over and over in the books I love.
In the last Books on Screen, I filled you in on the Academy Award nominations for book-based films. Today I’ll give you my thoughts on Outlander, the 1991 book by Diana Gabaldon and the 2014 STARZ network TV show.
